A Winning Effort to Protect Immigrants

The Challenge

Immigrants of all backgrounds have contributed to U.S. culturally and economically. But despite living and working here for decades, many longterm of them don’t have the dignity and safety of a work permit. American Business Immigration Coalition Action looked to us for their campaign urging the Biden administration to ensure the wellbeing and safety of this community, which has raised families and contributed to the economy for decades. Following President Biden’s announcement on June 18, 2024, the campaign successfully secured vital protections for 500,000 spouses of U.S. citizens, who can now live and work in the U.S. safely and without fear of deportation.

Our Approach

We formulated a media relations, messaging, and digital advertising plan to reach key audiences our client intended to sway in order to be successful. Working closely with our client, we conducted aggressive pitching of reporters in order to secure media placements amplifying a dozen local events and previewing a rally in Washington, D.C. We also produced highly targeted digital ads in English and Spanish in order to complement our client’s online recruitment efforts.

The Results

Yielding major national and local coverage on print, digital, and broadcast media outlets in English and Spanish — which included The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, NBC News, Univision, and La Opinión, among many others — our work reflected a successful rally and elevated our client’s work. President Biden’s announcement proved this to be an ultimately successful campaign. We couldn’t be more honored to have contributed to protecting immigrant families.
